FAQ

We appreciate that every penny counts twice as much now as it ever has.  But you really cannot afford to cut corners when it comes to safety, skill and expertise with work that is so dangerous.  Tree surgeons are highly trained and skilled professionals. They can make a very dangerous job look easy.   Not only is there a risk to life for the people carrying out the work, there are the risks of damage and injury to others (not to mention the trees) if the work is not carried out in line with industry best practice.  We have tools, kit and safety equipment that is up to the job, well maintained and implemented correctly.  We pride ourselves on being a contractor with the integrity to offer this best practice and do so with great customer service and client satisfaction.  We deliver great results with a smooth service from start to finish.  Take a look at The Arboricultural Association’s information on why it’s important to choose your tree surgeon carefully www.trees.org.uk/Help-Advice/Public/Choosing-your-Arborist-Tree-Surgeon
Of course, we wouldn’t dream of undertaking this kind of work without it. We have Employers and Public liability cover and are very happy to share a copy of our insurance documents upon request.
Our team of tree surgeons are NPTC qualified and hold all relevant certifications to carry out their job in a safe and knowledgeable way.  Combined, we have 25+ years of industry experience.
We like to make sure each job we do is tailored specifically to the tree (or hedge, stump or whatever it may be) and the client’s needs. Factors such as size, accessibility, volume of waste and how urgent the job is will all impact on price (amongst other considerations too). Therefore, each job is quoted individually.

Contact our office via our email info@parisharb.co.uk and Jodie will arrange a free, no obligation quote with Sarron for you. Jodie will need your full name, address for the quote (and the billing address if different), a contact telephone number and your email.
We may not even need you to be available for the quote if we can gain easy access to the tree/hedge etc. via a side gate, alley or because its in your front garden.

Once we have visited, we will email over our quote with any additional information as required.  If it isn’t an instant yes, Jodie will make contact with you in a day or two to make sure you have received the paperwork and see if you need any further help.  We will then get the worked booked in the diary for you.

If we are with you for a whole day, we will arrive between 08:00-08:30. If we are going to arrive with you later in the day, we will give you a timeframe for our arrival in advance.

This can vary depending on what it is we are doing for you. We will always make you aware of the timescale of a job so you can make informed decisions and plan ahead.

If we are able to gain access to the area we are working in, you don’t need to be there. If however we are having to gain access through your house, we will at least need you there to let us in. After that, the team is quite self-sufficient. Although a hot drink is always welcomed.

If you live in a terraced property or do not have side or rear access to your garden, we have a couple of options. Firstly, we will see if there is an alternative neighbouring garden we could use (with consent); removing a fence panel or two and using a neighbour’s side access. All cleaned up and fencing replaced afterwards. Otherwise, we can remove the waste through your house. This is more time-consuming for our team as we will place protective boards to help minimise the risk of any damage to your home and we will spend longer removing the waste as we will carry smaller pieces through your home. Therefore, these jobs can be a little more expensive to deliver. But still very achievable.
All quotes include the removal and responsible disposal of green waste created by the job. If you would like to keep any of the wood or chip, please just let us know. Otherwise, it is disposed of at a green waste facility where it is used as a source of biofuel.
Most certainly, yes! We strive to leave your garden looking tidier than when we arrived.
Absolutely. Any debris that lands in neighbouring gardens will be collected up as part of the general tidy up. Our team is great at knocking to notify neighbours that someone will be hopping a fence to tidy up and not to be alarmed.
We always appreciate a direct line of access to the area we are working in. So sometimes parking on your driveway is needed (and much appreciated). Sometimes we may need to park our van and chipper elsewhere, for example if we are dragging waste from the garden via an alley. If we do park on your drive, we make sure it is left clean and tidy.
In general, no. However, we do ask where possible that any breakables, valuable items, furniture etc. are moved to one side.  For people with pets, a clean and poo-free garden is also greatly appreciated.
We can check with your local authority if there are any Tree Preservation Orders or Conservation Area restrictions in place that affect your property. If there are, we can submit applications on your behalf to the local planning authority for the work you would like undertaken.
We will do our very best to ensure nothing is damaged as part of what we are doing. We use boards to cover surfaces and spread weight-loads. We are used to being inventive and are proficient problem solvers.  However, this is why insurance is a must as accidents can happen.
We will email you an invoice once the job is complete. Our bank details will be on there and BACS payments are much appreciated. On occasion, we may ask for a deposit prior to the work being carried out but this will be discussed and agreed with the client.
